Black Sand Beach, Waterfalls and Volcano

Service Description

Black Sand Beach, Magical Waterfalls & Volcano National Park Tour Itinerary:Departure from Kona at 9:00am. For the drive: Kona Coffee with biscotti, fruit. Arrival to Black Sand Beach- 10:45am 1 hr. 40-45 minutes Stop at Punalu'u Beach (Hawaiian name), enjoy some beach time, fresh fruit, picnic lunch , drinks. There are showers there to wash off after playtime/sun time on this beautiful beach. Please bring or be wearing your swimsuits for sunbathing. This ocean entry is usually rough this time of year, so swimming probably isn't a good idea. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. There are nice bathroom facilities for changing. Provided: Beach blankets, Sunbrella, cooler, refreshments/lunch as detailed. Departure from Black Sand Beach- 12:00pm Arrival at Rainbow Falls: Approx. 1:00pm. Depart Akaka Falls- 1:20pm Drive to Akaka Falls. Hike in the lush Rainforest, view the Falls, depart Akaka Falls at Approx. 2:45pm Drive to Hilo for a late lunch. Enjoy lunch at Pineapples Fresh Island Cuisine in Hilo at 3:30pm Depart Pineapples at 4:30 I am your photographer throughout the day and many beautiful photo opportunities. Drive to Volcano National Park- 47.7 miles/ 1 hour 10 minutes. Arrive at Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center at 5:40pm. Drive to the caldera parking area and hike 1.25 miles to the best vantage point to view the lava activity. We are fortunate to have an active volcano right now to view, it is breathtaking... and so very primordial, and beautiful at night. We'll stay here until after dark to experience the glow after Sunset, when the lava becomes more visible. View the night sky and constellations. Drive Back to Kona, depart Volcano National Park at 7:00-7:30pm Arrive back in Kona at approx. 9:00pm Please contact me for availability.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations, there will be a 20% cancellation fee for cancellations requested up to 2 months prior to the beginning of your booking service start date. If your cancellation request is within 2 months of your service beginning date, the cancellation fee with be 25%. Cancellation requests should be made by emailing me through this website. You must provide your name, the date of your tour or service, and what method of payment that you used. Due to the limited spaces available for our private tours or services, there will be no refunds if requests are made within 2 weeks of your booked tour or service. If there are openings available, we will make every attempt to assist you to reschedule your tour or service, if you choose.
